Holy Moly Roly Poly.....

Here is the latest HUGE belly pic. This is taken 3 weeks after the last one. Obviously I have grown considerably....I am officially done being pregnant as you can see by my face. Lack of sleep and a million pounds of child is enough to drive anyone crazy. Add 6 weeks of bed rest on top of it and you have one happy camper here (sarcasm)!

Enjoy and have a laugh. Thank God it's not you ( hahahahaaa).

On the bright side, it could happen any day or time now. I can't wait!!!

Next post may be pics of babies!!! :)

New belly pic

Due to popular demand I have posted the latest belly pic. This was taken on Thursday at exactly 33 weeks. I still don't feel overwhelmingly big, and my Dr. told me that I have a great abdomen (long torso) for carrying twins. It made me feel good to hear that!

The other thing that has happened this week is our 2nd anniversary. Of course, being on strict bed rest limits what we can do so Jason came up with a way we could still celebrate and adhere to the guidelines (with cheating a little bit).

We had a chef come into our house and cook us a meal and sat on the patio to eat. It felt like going to a restaurant, and in between courses I went and laid back on the couch (for my strict pelvic rest). It was so nice to feel like we were out somewhere, and definitely broke up the monotony of being stuck at home. The food was amazing too!!! We had a great night.

Countdown begins now.... 5 more weeks!

Love,
D

California Lunch and Update!

My Best friend Lisa Maris was so kind to throw me a lunch in honor of the twins in Huntington Beach! It was a wonderful afternoon, at the Hilton on the beach. The weather was perfect, the decor perfect, and most  importantly the company was the best. The attendees are in the picture above- (from left to right)- Erika, Lisa, Toni, me, and Joanna. Little joybug is in the front (Lisa's daughter Joy). :)

On the twins front, I was shocked to find myself on "complete pelvic rest" and "modified bed rest" this week. I went in for what was supposed to be a routine Dr. appointment and it turned out to be anything but. The good news is that I am not at risk to deliver in the next two weeks. I am also housebound and have to lay on my sides all day. It is not complete bed rest but pretty close- I can only walk for necessary things like potty breaks, fixing a sandwich, going back up to bed. Thankfully I can shower, because being as big as I am in the middle of the summer, I tend to get sweaty!!!:)

My Dr. also told me that my uterus is measuring as big as someone who is 2 weeks overdue (this is very common for twins). The boys look great, they are rapidly gaining weight. They were both 4 pounds a piece last Monday at their last check. Their heartbeats are right in the range they need to be, and my Dr. keeps saying I have "Two happy babies in there". Hopefully they remain happy in here for another 6 or so weeks, we really want them to go to full term. It is the best for their overall health. Although I may have to continue to lie on my booty for the next month and a half!

Another development is the boys have begun to hiccup in the womb, and it is so trippy to feel that every day! They are pretty active, but not too much so that I can't get a good stretch of sleep. They sleep for a couple of hours then are awake for a couple of hours. They are good boys, it is my back and ribs that are preventing me from sound sleep!

Sorry for the long post, I will try to update a belly pic next week when I feel up to making myself look presentable. It's hard to dress up when your final destination is the couch! :) Love to all.
